Paateri
The sculptor Eva Ryynänen's artist home in Vuonislahti, along with its surroundings, forms an impressive ensemble where the artist's craftsmanship is prominently visible. Eva Ryynänen (1915-2001) was one of the most famous Finnish sculptors of the post-war period. She primarily used wood as her material. The subjects of her sculptures were children, animals, nature, fairytale characters, Finnish mythology and farmhouse chores.
In Paateri, you can explore the life stories of Eva Ryynänen and her husband Paavo in an authentic setting. The visit is usually guided by a tour guide. The tour of Paateri is crowned by enjoying a pie or baked goods in the gallery café.
